Stillman Foote’s Geneology - Founding Father
Stillman Foote was born Sept 19, 1763 in Hartford Ct and died on Dec 21, 1834. He was married twice. His parents were Daniel Foote from Simsbury Hartford Ct who died in Canton, NY and Martha Stillman who was born in Wethersfied Hartford, Ct and died in Middlebury Vt in 1794.
Stillman Foote’s first wife was Lovica Donaghy who was born in 1767, had three children – Henry, Chauncey and Lovica - and then died in 1787.
Stillman remarried in 1811 – Mary Pember from Simsbury Hartford, Ct. They had three children who were born in Canton, NY – Stillman, Mary and Delia. Mary Foot married Elam Rust.
Delila Foote married Leonard Sears. They had 10 children, the youngest born in Canton, NY (Elizabeth Sears 1830, Mary Pember Sears 1833, Carolie Sears 1835, Charles West Sears 1837, Stillman Sears 1840, Stillman Foote Sears 1842, and the older children born in Oswegatchie, NY (Joseph Leonard Sears – 1833, Millard Fillmore Sears 1848, Elizabeth Sears 1853. Delila died in Omaha Nebraska.

Frederick Sackrider Remington’s Geneology - Canton’s Famous Artist
Frederick Remington was born in Canton, NY on October 4, 1861 and died December 26, 1909. His mother was Clara Bascom Sackrider born in 1839. His father was Seth Pierrepont Remington born in 1835.
